In all my 30 years, the best pizza I've ever had, and ever will have, hands down. As a 13 year resident of Southern California, I've had some of the very best pizza from LA to NY, and there are obviously many different regional styles (NY thin, Chicago deep, LA gourmet, etc) and I have "favorites" in each style/region. But its Riverbank's take on what I'd lovingly call "generic American" pizza that rules them all, coast to coast. Anyone that lives in Colusa county (a mostly-rural county in Northern Cali) likely already knows about this place (it's been there since at least the mid 80s, and is one of the few pizza joints in the county AFAIK), so I'm writing this for the non-resident pie-lovers like myself that would gladly take a 20 minute detour off the I-5 freeway for a taste of the very best. If you find yourself on the I-5 between Sacramento and Chico, you owe it to yourself to take a quick detour into Colusa and try a good-ol' pepperoni with extra sauce (they have many, many creative topping choices, but their pie is so good that even a plain pepperoi - - something I'd normally never order from anyone, ever - - is amazing). All pie lovers should Google-map this place right now and keep that map handy. If you ever find yourself within an hour's drive of Colusa, CA, I highly recommend you give this very unassuming and unlikely home to the king of all pizzas a try.
